PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Brian Bishop is an honorably retired Police Officer with thirty-one years of experience in law enforcement, more than twenty-five of those years spent in various assignments as a full-time sworn police officer. Prior to his appointment as a Police Officer, Mr. Bishop served as a public safety communication officer. Mr. Bishop spent his career working for the Oxnard Police Department. Throughout his career, he worked as a Patrol Officer, property crimes Investigator, Field Training Officer, School Resource Officer, and Range Master within the Firearms Training Unit.
Throughout Mr. Bishop’s thirty-one-year career, he has trained officers and had to document performance evaluations for officers, maintained detailed records and written policies, and been responsible for implementing new programs throughout his positions.
Mr. Bishop holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sociology Criminology/Corrections along with a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning at Liberty University. In addition to his degrees, Mr. Bishop completed POST Background Investigation training and conducts background investigations for all positions for NATA public safety clients.
