PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Dan Bressler brings over 40 years of dedicated service in law enforcement, culminating in his retirement in 2015. Serving as the Commander and Interim Chief of Police for the Desert Hot Springs Police Department during his final six years, he showcased exceptional leadership in administrative and support operations, professional standards, and various investigations. His extensive career spanned multiple agencies, including roles as a Sergeant in the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Riverside County Sheriff's Office, and Lieutenant in the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office, demonstrating a breadth of expertise in law enforcement management and supervision. Additionally, Bressler contributed significantly to the field by overseeing numerous workplace investigations, implementing the Lexipol Policy and Procedure Manual for two agencies, and managing diverse units such as SWAT, dispatch, traffic, and detective/task force teams.

Complementing his wealth of practical experience, Dan Bressler is a highly educated professional. He earned a Juris Doctor in Law from Taft University, receiving the prestigious William Howard Taft Award for his outstanding academic performance. His commitment to continuous learning is further evidenced by a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management from Cal State Fullerton, and an Associate Arts in Liberal Studies from Orange Coast College. Bressler's specialized training in areas such as Internal Affairs Investigations, Traffic Program Management, and Crime Scene Investigation, along with his association memberships, including ASIS and involvement in legislative committees, showcase a career marked by excellence, education, and dedication to law enforcement and public service.

EDUCATION:

Juris Doctor in Law (2017) from Taft University; awarded the William Howard Taft Award for top student; Master of Public Administration, Golden Gate University; Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, Cal State Fullerton; Associate Arts in Liberal Studies, Orange Coast College.

Mr. Bressler is a member of the Association of Security and Investigative Services (ASIS); As the Chief of Police, Mr. Bressler was a member of the Cal Chiefs Legislative Law Committee and was an elected trustee for the CPOA Legal Services Program.
