A recipient of the California Narcotic Officers Association Case of the Year award, Mr. Kurkoske's leadership extended to the traffic division, where he managed major accident investigations and played a pivotal role on the Major Accident Investigation Team. His commitment to education is evident through his academic achievements, including a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal State Long Beach and a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice from California Coast University.
