James Zbinden is an Honorably Retired Sergeant from the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department (SBSO). Mr. Zbinden served as a sergeant for seventeen years of his career at SBSO. After retirement, Mr. Zbinden continued to work part-time as a background investigator for SBSO.
As a Sergeant, Mr. Zbinden worked every division and assignment at SBSO. Mr. Zbinden completed POST Background Investigation training and has demonstrated excellent performance in all aspects of public safety background investigations.
