JEFF ALLISON

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
Mr. Allison is a retired Police Lieutenant with 35 years of law enforcement experience. Jeff began his career as a Patrol Officer and held collateral assignments as a Field Training Officer and a Crisis Negotiator for the Department's tactical team. Mr. Allison worked on a variety of assignments over the course of his career. Some of those assignments included Patrol, Traffic Investigations, Criminal Investigations, Administrative Services, Planning and Training, and the Personnel Services Unit. Upon his subsequent promotions, Jeff supervised or managed many of those same units and bureaus.
Within the Personnel Services Unit, Mr. Allison was responsible for overseeing the Department's hiring process, including testing, selection, and background investigations. Mr. Allison amassed a great deal of experience in the assignment, personally conducting hundreds of pre-employment background investigations for sworn and civilian positions. Mr. Allison is a P.O.S.T. certified background investigator and a member of the California Background Investigators Association (C.B.I.A.).
