Professional experience
Gregory Rodriguez is a licensed Private Investigator with over 26 years of distinguished law enforcement service. Mr. Rodriguez retired honorably from the Concord Police Department as a Lieutenant, where he served in numerous leadership roles, including Special Operations Lieutenant, SWAT Team Commander, Watch Commander, and Department Training Manager. His broad experience also includes positions as Field Training Program Manager, Crisis Negotiations Team Leader, K9 Unit Manager, and Detective in both the Special Victims Unit and Major Crimes Unit. As a Lieutenant, Mr. Rodriguez conducted and approved internal affairs investigations.
Mr. Rodriguez received specialized training in Canine liability, officer-involved fatal incidents, Internal Affairs, and use-of-force encounter analysis. He completed advanced leadership programs through California POST, including the Management School and Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute.
Before starting his law enforcement career, Mr. Rodriguez gained valuable experience in public safety and natural resources through roles with the National Park Service in Yosemite, the U.S. Forest Service, and local search and rescue teams.
Mr. Rodriguez earned a master’s degree in Emergency Services Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration with a minor in Criminal Justice from California State University, Chico. A certified firearms instructor and veteran in-service training instructor, Mr. Rodriguez dedicated over twenty years to officer development.
