Kristine Exton brings nearly three decades of legal expertise to her role as a workplace investigator, having established herself as a seasoned litigator specializing in employment law. With over twenty years of litigation experience, she represented cities and school districts in state and federal courts, handling a spectrum of cases related to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. Her proficiency extends to conducting jury and bench trials, administrative hearings, and managing the entire lifecycle of lawsuits. Kristine's appellate practice includes handling writ actions and appeals, presenting arguments before the California Court of Appeals. Admitted to practice law in California State Courts, the United States District Court, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeal, and the United States Supreme Court, she brings a comprehensive legal background to her current role.

 Since joining NATA in 2015, Kristine Exton has excelled as a workplace investigator, conducting over one hundred investigations for both public and private employers. Her work spans a diverse range of allegations, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, sexual misconduct, fraud, and workplace bullying. With a commitment to alternative dispute resolution, she leverages her experience as an arbitrator and mediator for the Los Angeles Superior Court. Kristine's dedication to resolving workplace issues underscores her multifaceted legal career, marked by a dual Bachelor's Degree from Claremont McKenna College and a Juris Doctor Degree from Western State University. Actively involved in professional organizations such as the California Bar Association, Orange County Bar Association, Association for Conflict Resolution, and the Association of Workplace Investigators, she continues to contribute to the legal community.
