LEISHA FENTON-FAUTH

California Private Investigator License: PI 188469

Professional experience

Leisha Fenton-Fauth is a licensed California Private Investigator with more than 44 years of combined law enforcement and investigative experience.

Her law enforcement career as a sworn police officer and then as a detective encompassed some of the most demanding investigative assignments in the profession, including Robbery/Homicide, officer-involved shootings, crimes against children, sexual assaults, and juvenile crimes. She subsequently served as a Senior District Attorney Investigator, working within specialized prosecutorial teams on trial preparation, major fraud, insurance fraud, workers’ compensation fraud, and domestic violence cases — gaining deep institutional knowledge of how complex felony cases are built, the evidentiary standards prosecutors apply, and where rigorous defense-side investigation can change a case’s trajectory.

She is a California POST-certified background investigator and case manager conducting pre-employment backgrounds for police and fire candidates. She has also investigated workplace cases, including harassment complaints and wrongful termination. She has received advanced training in internal affairs investigations, trauma-informed interviewing, workplace, and Title IX investigations. She holds active memberships in numerous professional organizations, including the California Association of Licensed Investigators, the California Criminal Defense Investigators Association, and the Southern California Background Investigators Association.
